Mission Statement

We believe that Saint Mary Catholic School is a great gift to the parishes and community of Hagerstown as well as to the Church of Baltimore. 

We endeavor to educate the whole child in an atmosphere where the student may experience living and learning in the light of the Catholic faith.

Saint Mary Catholic School encourages the students to become sensitive to the needs of others in our parishes, local community, and the world.  We provide opportunities for response to this Christian awareness through service.  Ever mindful of the glory of God’s creation, we guide the students as they grow in appreciation of human dignity and diversity.

Objectives

• To educate each child in his/her duties to God, to neighbor, and to self
• To develop a respect and loyalty for our country
• To develop an attitude of prayer through the daily experience of praying with others
• To foster an appreciation of the richness of our heritage
• To provide opportunities and encouragement for each student to aid him/her in developing fully his/her intellectual powers
• To promote the desire for fine academic achievement through good study habits and proper classroom behavior
