St. Mary Catholic School, established in 1874 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, is Catholic education in the finest tradition. Today it is one of 110 schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore and has an enrollment of 299 students.

St. Mary Catholic School, the only Catholic K-8 school in Washington County, is sponsored by St. Mary Catholic Parish and is an integral part of the parish. Both St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Mary Catholic School lie in downtown Hagerstown in the heart of the Cumberland Valley of western Maryland.
